By appointment to you

This winter season we will see a strong influence from the 90’s - with a touch of 70’s luxe spiced with the playfulness of the 20’s. Post grunge rave culture’s influence on fashion colours, textures and fabrics is reflected back through the energy of the hair. The feel is effortlessly luxurious, fresh and forward-looking. Colours are strong, yellow copper, deepest raisin, or muted and effortless, earthed in nature.

Global fashion is mixing a nod to the Seventies through bright prints, and bold colour with a subtle look back at the playful and slightly androgynous rave culture of the Nineties. This summer is the season to make a bold statement about who you are with your hair and play to the trends with a brand new look.

Mothers, Daughters, Sisters

Drawing strongly on the references of Japanese manga, the rock 'n' roll, and pop culture of the 60s the Rodney Wayne Winter 2013 campaign features bold colours and shapes in hair that shines and moves effortlessly. Playful yet effortlessly glamorous are the key words for this season. As seen on the international catwalks and in global fashion leaders’ campaigns there is a strong leaning towards the playful hair of the 60s with a hint of nineties cool thrown in. Bold shapes, feminine textures, fun colour. Think of style icons like Brigit Bardot,
Anna Lipton, Raquel.

Direct from New York

Summer is the best season of the year and a time for lots of socialising and fun. Summer blondes should add gold and mahogany hues, a must to enhance sun kissed skin. Darker shades should be rich and glossy with lots of shine; beautifully finished hair is still a must and should express effortless sophistication.

We are looking forward to a colourful summer.

This season's cuts are more precise, with a sense of geometry and tailoring. Heavy lines kiss the eyes, highlighting the cheekbones while heavy layers create movement and interest. Long hair is much more refined and elegant. Centre partings give a nod to the seventies, beautiful hair with condition and finish and depicting a refined elegance while allowing the hair to have freedom of movement.

Fringes this summer are longer and grown out giving versatility of styling. Worn casually over the eyes at the weekend or swept to the side to show your more serious side at work or study. Pastel blondes in hues of powder pink and lilac are a fun way to add depth and flavour to powder lightened blondes. Colours are there for a fun time, not a long time and can be changed out weekly with a quick visit to your colourist. This summer's curl has a romantic lived in texture. Glamorous, playful yet touchable and effortless. Brushed generously to give a flyaway texture, this look is reminiscent of the resortwear of the seventies.

Midnight Hour

It's true, size matters. This season high hair is the number one key to glamour, with big, beautiful waves seen everywhere from the catwalks of Chloe to Hollywood's red carpet. But volume and curl don't have to be contained to special occasions, who doesn't want to toss their sexy va-va voom hair at the office or on a coffee run? Combined with a rich, shine-intense colour, it's a look that hints at expensive, high-maintenance hair, but following our tips you can recreate it at home.
