Rodney Wayne opened his first Auckland salon in the heart of the city in 1980.

The luxurious salon immediately captured the attention of Aucklanders seeking world-class style. Within eight years, Rodney was operating eight hair salons. He knew that a quality consultation was vital to understanding and achieving client needs and wishes. ‘We listen. We care’ became a guiding principle. Great service and even better hair were hallmarks. Now there are over 30 salons in the Rodney Wayne stable and 15 Shampoo ‘n’ Things haircare stores across the country.
