On the 30th of December I had called Rodney Wayne Ormiston and booked in a cut for the 2nd of Jan. I confirmed my appointment via txt on the 1st a day prior but when I got to ormiston for my appointment the store had closed down and I wasn’t even notified, really bad experience. I called Botany that day to find out what was happening and they offered to take me in and do my cut straight away which was amazing however I had to go home to my baby. So I booked for today with Brian and so glad I went into botany! This was my first cut after ages and Brian was amazing gave me exactly what I was after and was such a good experience from the hair wash to the cut to finish. I would definitely recommend Rodney Wayne Botany and Brian and will be going there from now on.

I’m someone that avoids getting a haircut because of previous experiences where I leave feeling unhappy with how it turns out or the hair stylist not delivering on what I wanted. From the very beginning of the appointment, Sarah made me comfortable, paid close attention to what I wanted/didn’t want and kept checking in to ensure we were on the same page! Very happy with how my hair turned out and will be a regular customer!

Very happy with the service here.
I firstly walked in without a booking and wanted my hair done and I was quickly seen and seated by the friendly staff. Although I didn't Initially like the colour they were more than happy for me to come back in the following morning to fix it. I was then serviced by Sarah who got the colour spot on! She took on board what i was envisioning and produced the exact colour i was wanting. Great skills and customer service
I'll be back to see her.
Highly recommend!

I came into the salon with a highlight that i did myself and wasn’t happy with, and the stylists did an incredible job correcting it. They took the time to understand what I wanted and made sure the result was exactly what I hoped for and the color came out beautifully.
Later on, I had a change of plans and decided I wanted to go back to a brown shade and they handled the change of plans so well. The final color was stunning and the process was smooth and professional from start to finish.
Also the products they used was really good quality and the shampoo and treatments made my hair feel reallyyy soft and left it smelling so good.

The staff were kind, attentive and had lovely manners. Highly recommend this salon!

I had a great experience at the salon! Brian and the hair colour technician—a lovely young woman who was trained by Tarsh (sorry I forgot her name!)—were both amazing. Brian is so good at cutting and giving you an amazing blow out. I highly recommend asking for them. You won’t be disappointed.

I got my first ever Keratin treatment done a few days ago, and I would 1000% recommend to anyone. At first I was a bit nervous since I didn’t want my hair to be extremely straight, however Sarah & Caitlin couldn’t have done a better job. If you are looking for a salon that actually cares about its clientele, then this is the place. I started to go to them last year, and I’ve always walked out of their salon feeling relaxed, and very happy with my hairstyle. Dinple is a fantastic stylist, who really listens to you. She created a new look for me, that I absolutely adore. Her colouring technique is fabulous. I know they are not the cheapest salon around, but when it comes to something as important as your hair, you don’t want cheap, you want quality - and that’s what you get here. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to get their hair done.

Have been going to Rodney Wayne at Botany for years now and always have a good experience. The team is lovely and professional. Sarah is my regular stylist and always does such an amazing job. From the first consult we had, she's been super knowledgeable and knew how to explain to a hair dummy (me) what would work best with my hair and how best to achieve the cut I was looking for. She's meticulous and skillful and is hands down the best stylist for a fringe I've ever experienced in Auckland. Thank you Sarah and team!

If you’re looking for someone who cares about you hair and is highly skilled don’t hesitate to book in with Sarah. I have followed her from previous Salons to Botany and hands down the only one I trust with my hair. The botany salon vibe is nice and warm, the workers are lovely and welcoming with a great wealth of knowledge. Although abit pricey, definitely worth it ! Thank you ladies 🥰

My 2nd time coming to Rodney wayne in Botany, I needed a fix up because I went somewhere else and ruined my hair, Sarah was awesome fixed it up for me the girls were awesome, offered a coffee, got my hair washed, while in a massage chair, good Banta and a laugh, they make you feel welcome. Highly recommend.

Was quite apprehensive going into a salon I’ve never tried before after not having a cut in 2 years.
I chose Sarah as she had the most images on her Instagram. So very happy I did! She explained everything to me, helped me choose the better reference photo and why. I made her aware from the beginning I was on a budget, and while she continued to recommend products, she was never pushy and so understanding.
She listened to what I wanted, was positive, friendly and gave a great head message.
Not super cheap, but definitely worth the money.
Highly recommend Sarah.

Brian is a master. He literally created a stunning colour turn-around for my daughter who was super upset about a bad colour job elsewhere. He was calm, thoughtful and so skilful. I watched his artistry for 3 hours while he worked his magic. The end result was fantastic. No more tears for my daughter. Just smiles & laughter all the way. If you’re in a similar position, then can’t recommend Brian and this salon highly enough. The owner was attentive, mindful and very accomodating. My daughter was able to book in right away and she felt heard, understood and taken care of by the owner & by Brian. Thank you Rodney Wayne, Botany. We’ll be back!

OMG ❤️ I've found The One. That very rare specimen amongst all these hairdressers, who actually cut and coloured my hair to EXACTLY what I wanted. Natasha gave me a silver fringe look and achieved this in just 30 minutes 😳 Many others have tried (and failed) after four, one hour colour treatments! Yeah sure, Rodney Wayne charges a little more than the average. But you get what you pay for. Merry Christmas Botany team, Meitaki Maata e Natasha. See you soon.

Sarah was amazing! She actually listened to me and didn’t cut off more than I asked. I have long thick hair and she did a L’Oréal Molecular treatment which left my hair feeling soft and gorgeous. I’ll definitely be back xx

Really friendly service. Natasha and Cailey did a great job on my hair. I had a wash, shape and blow dry. My hair was left feeling sleek and looking shiny. The cut was awesome, Natasha got rid of all them ugly split ends.

I think in a world of so many stylist. It seems only a few actually know what they’re doing. I had been to so many raved about salons to see if my hair could be fixed. I had a very faded out green on one half of my head. Which ZERO of the hair dressers i’d been to said they could fix. Despite knowing it was possible. Albeit, it was expensive. I couldn’t of been happier. The lovely lady at the front (I’m sorry I don’t know her name) is so so so lovely. And Tash, who actually saved my hair from disaster, not once but twice. Super smart and onto it. Worth the 40 min drive from west to come here. It looks so good now. And I can’t wait to be back to achieve my end goal look. Thank you for service . Much appreicated 🫶

I came in to get my haircut this morning and I was a bit nervous cause my hair was super long and I hadn’t been to a hair salon in a few years. But everyone that works there was so welcoming. I’m sorry I forgot the other names but the stylist Sarah (hope I got that right) was so sweet and she definitely knows what she’s doing. She made me feel comfortable and made sure that I was okay with every part of the process. At the end she gave me a couple tips on styling and suggested some products as well which I appreciate :)) I love my new hair thank you so much will definitely be back here 🫶🫶
