GORGEOUS HAIR FAST
‘Not a lot of people know that by letting your hair dry naturally then straightening it can essentially be a reason why your style isn’t lasting the three full days like when you’ve just stepped out of the salon,’ advises Newton. ‘Spending the time to blow dry your freshly shampooed and conditioned hair could be that extra day that your style will last.’
Newton’s favourite hair dryer right now is the GHD Helios which not only gives the hair that head-turning shine, but also speeds up drying time.
BEAUTIFUL HAIR TRICKS AND TREATS
It’s all about the treats (and a few tricks) when it comes to keeping your style looking fabulous for days. For smoothing and straightening Newton loves to blowdry the Redken Velvet Gelatine into the hair before straightening which helps to keep the frizz away and keeps the hair looking silky and smooth right up until your next wash. For waves and curls, Newton recommends creating a potion by mixing Kerastase L’incroyable with a fingernail size portion of Redken Aerate which helps to keep the curl voluminous as well as moisturised. The benefit of mixing it with the Kerastase L’incroyable is that it offers heat protection of up to 230 degrees which means you don’t have to reapply another heat protection if you needed to retouch some curls on day two or three.

And for Halloween itself? Newton suggests blasting the hair with a dry Shampoo (he recommends Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry Two Day Extender Dry Shampoo) to add texture for stand-out braiding or head-turning height for those whacky, finger-in-the-power-socket looks.
