A CONSULTATION FIRST
Carrie’s beautiful new look began the way every Rodney Wayne colour service does: with a complimentary consultation: a conversation about hair goals, lifestyle and requirements. Before a single product touched her hair, she sat down with her colourist to talk through what she actually wanted for her hair.

THE TECHNIQUE BEHIND THE SHINE
Carrie’s transformation was crafted by Arun at Rodney Wayne Queensgate, under the creative direction of Rodney Wayne’s Creative and Education Director, Newton Cook.
Her natural colour was enhanced using a Detoxifying Clear Glossing Service with Metal Detox, followed by a Kérastase Blond Absolu Fusio Dose treatment. Together, these steps address the hair’s condition, clarifying and strengthening it from within so the finished result looks naturally healthy, with a beautiful shine.
SHAPING HAIR TO ENHANCE SHINE
The colour work was only part of the story. Carrie’s shaping service (we prefer that word to “cut”, because that is really what it is) gave her look its final, confident finish.
Carrie’s hair was shaped to a one length, clean, solid form and then square layered through the interior to add structure. Minimal layering on top kept the volume controlled. Soft face framing was created with a forward graduation, opening around the face and keeping her whole look refined. It is a shape designed to reflect the light, sit well, and move well, throughout the day.
THE FINISHING TOUCHES
Every great result comes down to the details. For the finishing touches, Carrie’s hair was prepped with Kérastase Blond Absolu Cicaplasme, a leave-in treatment made for blonde, highlighted, and grey hair to calm frizz and help repair split ends before they start.
The final step was Kérastase Blond Absolu Huile, smoothing away frizz and locking in the glassy, high-shine finish that makes the whole look come together.
